Lane V. Barker, DMD
Dr. Barker is originally from Athens, Georgia. He graduated Valedictorian from Jefferson High School in 1990 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia in 1994. After completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1998, Dr. Barker returned home to Athens to practice general and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Barker launched Magnolia Dental Spa of Athens in 2019. His vision is to provide his patients with the ultimate level of comfort and to make a lifetime of healthy smiles possible with current technology and treatments that address changing dental needs of children and adults.
Dr. Barker and his wife Christie enjoy being part of the Athens and Jefferson communities. They love spending time with their children and family. He and Mrs. Barker are active members of their local church and seek ways to volunteer and help their community. Dr. Barker is a former Eagle Scout and believes in the power of positive leadership. In his past time, he enjoys camping, bowling, concerts, and everything UGA… Go Dawgs!
Committed to ongoing professional learning, Dr. Barker is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Eastern District Dental Association and Clarke County Dental Association. He has completed numerous hours of continuing education training in advanced dental topics, including implant restoration, endodontics (root canals), cosmetic dental veneers and facial esthetics with Botox™ and dermal fillers.
